This policy describes the data processed by the “Real Quotes” mobile app (the “App”), published by Sébastien de Bollivier. Our approach is minimal: we collect only what is necessary for the service to work, and we do not resell any data.
1. Data controller
The data controller is Sébastien de Bollivier, reachable at me@sebastiendebollivier.com.
2. Data processed by the app
Anonymous authentication
The App uses anonymous authentication: no name, email or password is required to use it. An anonymous technical identifier is generated to link your data to your device.
Data stored
- Your favorites (saved quotes);
- Your moods and their history;
- Your preferences (theme, settings, morning/evening ritual).
This data is hosted on a self-hosted Supabase instance within the European Union, on the publisher's infrastructure. It is used solely to provide the service (retrieving your favorites, your mood tracking, your settings).
3. Purchases and subscriptions
The management of Premium purchases and subscriptions is handled by RevenueCat, which processes the transaction information needed to validate your subscription. The payment itself is handled by Apple's App Store; we neither receive nor store your banking data.
4. Notifications
The OneSignal service is integrated into the App, but push notifications are currently disabled: no push notification is sent. Where applicable, the App may use local reminders scheduled on your device for your daily ritual, without sending any data to a server.
5. What we do not do
- No resale or commercial sharing of your data.
- No advertising tracking, no marketing profile.
- No advertising in the App.
6. Retention period
Your data is kept for as long as you use the App. You can request its deletion at any time (see below); it is then erased from our servers.
7. Your rights (GDPR)
In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation, you have a right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and portability of your data, as well as the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, contact me@sebastiendebollivier.com.
8. Quotes and licence
The quotes shown come from Wikiquote and are distributed under the Creative Commons BY-SA licence. They remain attributed to their authors; none is generated by artificial intelligence.
9. Changes
This policy may change. Any significant update will be reflected by the date shown at the top of the page.
